Have you ever wondered why Groomers charge so much for something that seems "JUST A BATH"?  A lot of clients do not understand what is involved in "Just A Bath" and half "Just A Bath' dogs are too much trouble for the owner to do in the comfort of their home, so off to the Groomer...

Here is what groomers actually do:

Brush and comb all knots out thoroughly

Specialist deep cleansing shampoo followed by coat treatment shampoo/conditioner and brush again whilst treatment shampoo/conditioner is on the coat

Spend time absorbing excess water from the coat with aquasorbing towel

Lift the dog from bath to table and towel surplus water. Use spray products appropriate for their coat needs

Start the drying process firstly by blasting the coat with a high velocity dryer then on to finishing dryer whilst brushing coat into shape

Next into other room for trimming of hygiene bits, feet.

Then onto cleaning gunky ears

Oh joy, Toenails!

Finishing spray

Best bit for all - massive fuss, lots of kisses

But this is only half the story. While half the dogs we see may be too much trouble for their owners, the other half need de-shedding as well as bathing. Before bathing can get started the groomer has to:

Raking out dead coat hair

Time with a Furminator/carding blade

Time with a stripping knife

Finally into the bath to repeat all of the steps above!

Oh and we only use ‘For All Dog Kind’ 97% organic shampoos and top quality grooming sprays. High Velocity Drying (a process whereby the water is "forced" off the coat with volumes of air, taking along much of the loose hair); the finishing dryer is 20 times more powerful than what you use at home…available to Groomers but not in a home environment.
